Winsor and Newton Artists Square Canvas - 21mm Deep

Artists' Canvas by Winsor and Newton have a depth of 21mm. They are made to an extremely high standard and are suitable for use with oil, acrylic, and alkyd based paints. The 100% cotton duck canvas is treated with one coat of acid free sizing and two coats of gesso primer which have been expertly formulated by Winsor & Newton to prevent the sinking of oil pigments and provide evenly balanced levels of absorbency. The finished medium weave canvas surface has a weight of 13 ounces and a tooth which can easily accommodate a thick application of colour.

The canvas material is stretched over professional quality stretcher bars which have been kiln dried to ensure durability. All canvases in this range are carefully stretched by-hand and back stapled allowing for the option of the sides to be painted.

As with all Winsor and Newton products, this range of canvases have a solid reputation among artists for being a high quality product which is also very affordable.
