Winsor and Newton Artists Canvas - 21mm Deep

Winsor & Newton Artists Canvas Winsor and Newton Artists' Canvases are 21mm deep and are manufactured with 8oz (236gsm) medium weave cotton canvas which has been prepared with a layer of acid free sizing and then double primed with a highly pigmented primer. This results in a finished surface of approximately 13oz (375gsm) which has a very well-balanced absorbency and is effective in preventing the sinking of oil pigments. The tooth provides substantial adhesion allowing a heavy application of paint.

The frame is constructed with professional standard kiln dried stretcher bars to minimise shrinkage. Each canvas is hand stretched ensuring a consistent tension and neatly tailored corners. The staple free edges can be painted enabling the finished painting to be displayed with or without a frame.

This product is a high quality canvas which is ideal for all painting techniques and can be used with acrylics, oils, alkyd paints and water mixable oils.
